A ‘Typical’ Week For Us [+ Texas trip vlog]

As a commercial drone service company, we’re often asked what it is we actually do day-to-day. Fair question...but that’s definitely a loaded answer! Headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, in the midwest region of the United States, we work with clients from coast to coast, as well as internationally.

The two core segments of our business are creative services and technical services, both of which encompass quite an array of capabilities. One week is rarely the same as the last for us here at TAM, but below is an example of how it can go.

On Monday we are aerial mapping corn fields for plant count, crop health analysis, and nitrogen effectiveness, then on Tuesday we’re on a video production set capturing aerial cinematography for a medical client’s commercial. Wednesday we’re on the move in the wee hours of the morning and headed to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Later that day we arrive at our first renewable energy project site in Texas, then Thursday we wrap up project progress initiatives in the Lone Star State and head home via Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Friday we’re in the office prepping gear and capturing marketing photography and videography for a large outdoor event that evening. Saturday and Sunday and is filled with a variety of projects, including a site survey for a construction client, capturing a large marathon, and aerial inspections of towers for a client in the telecommunication sector.

Whew - what a whirlwind. Welcome to our world. It’s certainly an adventure!

Sometimes it’s easier to show, rather than tell. So speaking of renewable energy, below is a vlog we put together that gives a glimpse inside a recent trip to cotton and oil country in the great state of Texas. It was there we were working with clients in the clean energy sector who are constructing solar farms and wind farms on previously energy-depleted lands.

When the current COVID-19 way of life is behind us, we look forward to being back on the move and doing what we love. We miss our clients! (Reach out and say hi.)
